WELCOME TO GO-FIRST – the Global Online First Responder Student Training Foundation, developed and directed by a global team of public safety and education leaders dedicated to preparing young people for the Mission of Life by connecting, inspiring and energizing them with the values, skills, sciences, technologies and sports of First Responders around the world.

Our programs help kids grow up safe, strong and smart – and ready to lead and serve.

We developed GO-FIRST in the wake of September 11th , 2001, to build upon the public’s renewed respect for First Responders as important role models. We bring together students and First Responder mentors from multiple disciplines and duty stations in special camps that combine hands-on training in safety, health and security with character, career and service learning.

Our camps, international missions and multimedia are based on the planet’s most popular adventure learning program in public safety, health and fitness: Global Junior Lifeguards, where kids from 8 to18 learn “Life Lessons” in multiple disciplines from open water First Responders who, in addition to being exemplary role models, are also top teachers in their school systems and senior training officers in their departments.

Borrowing the best from this platform, we add multiple First Responder services spanning the world and all terrains to deliver a high energy, global action-classroom program, integrating onsite and online educational units in the Big 5 Curriculum of Rescue, Safety, Health, Service and Cool Water (aka the Environment). The applied sciences and technologies employed by the featured First Responders are also central to GO-FIRST’s learning strategies as students discover both the adventure learning and life-and-death problem-solving values of these scientific disciplines and high-tech tools.

The GO-FIRST roster of First Responder services include Fire, EMS, Marine Safety and Search and Rescue; U.S. Coast Guard; National Guard; State Troopers, Sheriffs and Police; Trauma Center Nurses and Physicians; and Global Disaster Response and Relief programs, such as Project HOPE. We are also pioneering student use of the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), the worldwide monitoring program that tracks major health, weather and environmental trends and is managed by the top federal agencies in science and technology, including NOAA, EPA and NASA.
